Born in Kansas City, Kansas Kaitlin grew up in Ludington, Michigan. While an only child, she is blessed to have an extremely large and close extended family. Kaitlin has always been a very competitive person and continues to participate in a multitude of athletic activities in her spare time. In high school she was a four year letter winner and regional champion in golf. Kaitlin was also a three year letter winner and two time regional champion in tennis. Besides sports she also has an intense passion for music. A member of the Sound Explosion showchoir in high school (a traveling singing and dancing group) and a member of the concert choir she has performed at venues across the country. Her experiences both musically and athletically have prepared Kaitlin for life in front of the TV camera. While at Michigan Kaitlin produced and anchored her own show on WOLV TV (Michigan's student run TV station). Her love for journalism has also lead to multiple internship opportunties. Kaitlin has worked as a multi-media intern for the Ludington Daily News. In 2008 Kaitlin went to Bejing, China to intern with NBC for the Games of the 29th Olympiad.
