Kaitlin Urka

Kaitlin Urka is currently a production assistant with NBC Sports and Olympics. She was previously an associate producer and sometimes on-air talent at WZZM 13 the Gannett owned ABC affiliate in Grand Rapids, MI.

Kaitlin graduated with a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Michigan and is a proud and loyal alumna. If she isn’t AT the Big House on football Saturdays in the fall, she’s certainly glued to a television where she can watch her favorite team. Besides being an avid Michigan fan, Kaitlin loves to play sports– especially golf. Having grown up on the shores of Lake Michigan, she loves the beach and participating in water sports/activities. When you do find her on the beach, she’ll likely have a book in hand, as Kaitlin loves to read.

Kaitlin doesn’t just work in television, she watches it too! She has a very eclectic taste in shows and enjoys everything from “CSI” to “The Big Bang Theory”. One of her favorites at the moment is “Glee”. The show, about an Ohio showchoir, brings back memories of Kaitlin’s own stint in a showchoir while in high school.

Friends and family are an incredibly important part of Kaitlin’s life. She would not be where she is today without their unconditional love and support.
